Our Band Story

…. IN THE BEGINNING,

There was Chuck and Kelly in 1984, unknown to each other and on the road in different bands. The two met briefly in a music store, but that’s all it took. In early 1985 Kelly landed in a house-band in Jacksonville and was unhappy and contacted an agent in Orlando and informed him she wanted out. Then there was Chuck’s on the road band “Magic” and the band wanted Kelly, but in fact Chuck wanted Kelly! That is how the romance started in 1985. The two got engaged on the road (Memphis) in 1987 and stayed on the road till a Talent Coordinator and Producer offered the couple a house situation in Miami/Ft Lauderdale in late 1989 and the two married there in 1991.

Late 1991 Chuck and Kelly had their first child, Kelsey who is also a very talented vocalist, went into the field of Law Enforcement and now close to earning  a “Masters” in that field. The night club scene in South Florida is a very late night and not conducive with raising a family and the couple moved to Chuck’s hometown of Clearwater early 1993.

KAMRYN EMORY came late with Chuck and Kelly’s life in early 2000 and it was quite obvious that the deep blue-eyed child was extraordinary gifted.  She plays guitar, piano and has a fantastic voice.  Kamryn does it all. Sings with power, range, style and knows how to take command of the stage.

In 2017 Kamryn was chosen as the main female artist in the "Grammy Revolution Project" which is sponsored by Ruth Eckerd Hall and Hoffman School Of The Arts. She was the female lead in the theater musical "Hometown" that ran at the Richey Suncoast Theatre. Kamryn, and Mom also did the comedy stage production together with Kamryn of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”.

Kamryn has sung the National Anthem for the Tampa Bay Rays and multiple large event functions. She has gained much stage experience with her first band “Social Fabric” that has been a local success in the Tampa Bay area. She has appeared in movie roles recently and has been offered future opportunities in acting. Her dream to become a professional musician, performer, actor and recording artist is coming true.

KELLY RAE really likes hamming it up for an audience. Her dancing ability and knowledge of the show is a huge portion of the power that knocks you out when watching her. Kelly discovered her vocal talents and planted her gospel roots in Church at the young age of 9. Began Piano instruction at the age of 10. Kelly traveled on the road until landing a 10 piece house gig in Jacksonville, later moving on to touring through the entire country on a top night club circuit.

After years on the road she returned to Florida. A band was formed for a famous Miami/Ft. Lauderdale club opening a sister club in Daytona Beach. An eight piece hard hitting MTV type top-40 group. Kelly returned to Lauderdale in a house gig at the Marriott Riverwatch. Wherever the most happening band was Kelly would be right in the middle of the action.

Performing in the Tampa bay area for the last several years, Kelly has developed a large following. She is versatile with her ability to play keyboards and percussion. Kelly elates dynamite stage charisma . She is a sight to see and performs with passion and vocal style exciting to the ear.

CHUCK knew he wanted to be a musician at a very early age when he saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. When he reached his early teens he started playing electric and upright bass, and was influenced by Fusion jazz and Progressive Rock of that time (early to mid 70s). This gave Chuck a technical advantage at his instruments which translated into the best rhythm sections in every band he played with, and every band was very successful! In the early days the rock circuit was king, but Chuck found even more success in Top 40/Funk/R&B/Dance bands from the early 1980's though the 2010's and made a life long career with music, and is still doing it!

Chuck takes pride in his instruments, stage set ups, computer recording/sequencing, and has done score work in the film industry. One project winning several awards. Even taking 4th place in the International Indie Film Festival. He is a professional, seasoned player who loves "getting it on" when on stage, has fun with the audience, and spectators have fun with him!!

Chuck has a respected reputation in the Tampa Bay area from agents, club owners/managers, fellow musicians and from everyone involved in the music entertainment business.
